Kolbet Attends Lions District 9NC Spring Convention

Janean Kolbet, Osage Lions Club President, attended the Lions District 9NC Spring
Convention Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City.

There were over fifty lions members in attendance. International Director Mark Hintzmann, from Watertown, Wisconsin met with club presidents to discuss various issues concerning Lions club members. Members shared ideas for various fund raisers. He also addressed the group during lunch with presentations and recognitions.

This is the 25th year for women to be initiated as members.

The Leader Dog Puppy program informed members that puppies are trained by inmates. Of those, 98% go on to be Leader Dogs.

The day concluded with a business meeting that consisted of election of officers and parade of checks.
